NGC 4272 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is an estimated 378 million light years from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered on March 13, 1785 by the astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
