The galaxy is estimated to be 85 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years across . She is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VCC 312 . The galaxies NGC 4259 , NGC 4268 , NGC 4273 , NGC 4292 are in the same area of ​​the sky .
