history

In 1714 the field of Langenhagen belonged to the Gerswalde manor and deserted places inside and outside the Gerswalder Heide, called butterhouses before. This note suggests that dairy farms (Stiern and Kölpin) were probably in the area before the Thirty Years War. In 1724 two butter houses located in the heather near the Stiernsee and the Kölpinsee are mentioned; they were built around / shortly before 1724. The Vorwerk is named after the Stiernsee. Wauer interprets the lake name as "generous, lavish, plentiful, which probably refers to the abundance of fish in the lake.

In 1745, Stiern was explicitly referred to as a dairy farm. In 1752 documents show a cow leaseholder at Stiernsee. In 1754 a lease fisherman is also mentioned. In 1775 three residents or Büdner lived in Stiern. The settlement had two fireplaces in a family house. 1790 are named, the manager and two residents who lived by two fire places. In 1801 the Vorwerk Stiern not far from Friedenfelde had two fireplaces (residential houses) with a few residents.

1817 had a certain Scharlau the Vorwerk Stiern long lease. At that time it had 19 residents. In 1833 the bailiff Scharlau died and the Stiern leasehold was sold to the public. At that time the estate consisted of a house, a barn and a stable building, and 200 Magdeburg acres of land. A patch of land with 1500 to 1600 acres is mentioned in particular , which the previous owner had in lease from the Gerswalde manor. Two houses in Stiern are also mentioned for 1840.

In 1860 the already mentioned two residential buildings and four farm buildings stood in the Stiern, now known as Ackerhof , the settlement had 17 inhabitants, the area size is unfortunately only given summarized for Neudorf, Achimswalde, Erdmannswalde and Stiern together. There were bulls standing next to animals on the farm: 7 horses, 12 cattle and 175 sheep.

Only one house is mentioned for 1871. The population was slightly down with 12 residents. In 1907 the estate had a size of 81 hectares. In 1929 the estate belonged to Otto Lehmberg. The size is given here as 82 ha.

Communal history

At the time when the "Butterhaus" (or Meierei) Stiern was built, Stiern belonged to the Uckermark district of the Mark Brandenburg . With the district reform of 1816/17, three new districts were formed from the Uckermark. Friedenfelde came to the Templin district of the Brandenburg province . With the district reform of 1952 in the former GDR , the Templin district was given a completely new shape and was assigned to the Neubrandenburg district . With the district reform of 1993 in the state of Brandenburg, the three districts of Angermünde , Prenzlau and Templin were combined to form the district of Uckermark.

Stiern was founded from the Gerswalde manor. After the estate became a manor from 1752. After the division of the estate in 1752, the neighboring Neudorf became an independent manor, Stiern was now attached to Neudorf. After 1763 the Neudorf manor was combined with the Friedenfelde manor. After the sale of Friedenfelde in 1818, Neudorf became an independent manor again with the accessories Achimswalde, Erdmannswalde and Stiern. From the middle of the 19th century, Neudorf together with Achimswalde, Erdmannswalde and Stiern formed the Neudorf manor district, which in 1874 was assigned to the district 5 Groß Fredenwalde of the Templin district. In 1928 the Neudorf manor district (with Achimswalde, Erdmannswalde and Stiern) was merged with the Friedenfelde manor district to form the community of Friedenfelde. In 1931 and 1967 Stiern was the residential area of Friedenfelde. In 1992, Friedenfelde formed the administrative community of Amt Gerswalde with thirteen other municipalities . On December 31, 2001, Friedenfelde, Gerswalde, Groß Fredenwalde, Kaakstedt and Krohnhorst merged to form the new municipality of Gerswalde. Friedenfelde and Neudorf are now part of the municipality of Gerswalde, Stiern is Gerswalde's residential area. Erdmannswalde no longer exists.
