In the Gerswalde office , based in the Gerswalde municipality , five municipalities were merged in 1992 to handle their administrative business.

Geographical location

The office is located in the south of the Uckermark district in Brandenburg (Germany), and borders the city of Templin in the west, the municipality of Nordwestuckermark in the north , the city of Angermünde and the Gramzow district in the east and the Barnim district in the south.

history

On July 27, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Gerswalde Office. August 1, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The office was located in the municipality of Gerswalde and initially consisted of 10 municipalities in what was then the Templin district :

  1. Flieth
  2. Friedenfelde
  3. Gerswalde
  4. Groß Fredenwalde
  5. Milmersdorf
  6. Kaakstedt
  7. Kronhorst
  8. Mittenwalde
  9. Stegelitz
  10. Temmen

In the change in the notification, the municipality of Groß Köpin was assigned to the Gerswalde office by the ministry. On December 31, 2001, Flieth and Stegelitz merged to form the new municipality of Flieth-Stegelitz. Also on December 31, 2001, Groß Kölpin was incorporated into the community of Milmersdorf. The municipalities of Friedenfelde, Gerswalde, Groß Fredenwalde, Kaakstedt and Krohnhorst merged to form the new municipality of Gerswalde on the same date. Furthermore, on December 31, 2001, the new municipality Temmen-Ringenwalde was formed from the municipality of Ringenwalde of the Templin-Land office and the municipality of Temmen of the office of Gerswalde. The new community was assigned to the Gerswalde office.
