The Gartz (Oder) office is an office in Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which 18 communities in the then Angermünde district (now in the Uckermark district ) had initially merged to form an administrative association. The official seat is the city of Gartz (Oder) . Due to community mergers and integrations, the office currently consists of only five communities.

Historically, the area belongs to Western Pomerania .

Geographical location

The office is located in the district of Uckermark in the far northeast of Brandenburg . Its northern border is also the border with the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , the eastern border with the Republic of Poland runs partly along the Westoder . It borders in the south on the city of Schwedt / Oder and the Amt Oder-Welse , in the west on the Amt Gramzow .

The Gartz (Oder) office is located in the middle of a terminal moraine landscape and has a share in the Lower Oder Valley National Park in the east .
