Kaakstedt is a district of the municipality of Gerswalde in the Uckermark district in the north of Brandenburg .
The place is located east of the core village Gerswalde on the country road L 24 Northeast covers the 1,990.16 ha large nature reserve owl mountains . East are the Wrietzensee and about 685 ha large Oberuckersee .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1284. On January 1, 1957, the Kaakstedt community was incorporated into Gerswalde . On September 1, 1965, Kaakstedt was spun off from Gerswalde and became an independent municipality with the Fergitz district . On January 1, 1972, Pinnow was incorporated. Since December 31, 2001, Kaakstedt has belonged to Gerswalde again.

- The village church from the 2nd half of the 13th century is a hall church made of field stones . In 1728 the church was rebuilt and expanded. The brick church tower (1728) has a boarded tower.
