history

Curt von Arnim (around / after 1620–1670) from the Götschendorfer line inherited the various shares in Fredersdorf and founded the newer Fredersdorf line. He left Fredersdorf to his two sons Alexander Magnus and Hans Adolf (1660–1731). Since the latter sold his share to Alexander Magnus in 1714, this line does not need to be considered any further.

Alexander Magnus (1659–1727) was married to Anna Sophia von Enckevort for the first time, to Cornelia Eva von Ihlefeld for the second and to Adelheid Tugendreich von Mudersbach for the third. From the three marriages he had four sons, three Curt Friedrich, Hans Christoph and Friedrich Wilhelm, but were either not married or had no (legitimate) offspring, only the fourth son Alexander had offspring. By 1760, all shares in Fredenwalde had again come to the two sons of Alexander von Arnim. Alexander von Arnim was married to Marie Eleonore von Schenck, who had died in 1725. In 1726 he entered into a second marriage with Sophie Karoline Charlotte von Oetzen. The first marriage resulted in only one daughter who died early. The second marriage had six sons, one of whom died early, and three daughters. Three sons embarked on a military career, not much is known about them. With two of them it is even doubtful whether they are sons of Alexander von Arnim at all (according to Otto and Heinrich, died on May 6, 1756 in the Battle of Prague). The Fredenwalde estate was essentially divided between the two sons Curt Friedrich and Alexander Wilhelm. The next youngest son, Hans Erdmann, died in Soldin in 1756. After his father's death in 1753, he received Neu-Temmen in the division of the estate , which was taken over by Curt Friedrich after his death (1756). The other two brothers split up in Frederswalde. While Alexander Wilhelm took over the heavily indebted Fredenwalde, Curt Friedrich Willmine rebuilt himself , which he named after his wife Hanna Wilhelmine von Dargitz. Which of the two then built the Vorwerk Klein-Fredenwalde around / after 1768 is not explicitly mentioned in the Arnim family chronicle. with the establishment of Klein-Fredenwald, Fredenwalde was now also called Groß Fredenwalde to distinguish it. According to the historical local lexicon, Klein-Fredenwalde was pertinence to Groß Fredenwalde and should therefore have been built by Alexander Wilhelm. Curt Friedrich died in 1789 (or 1790) and left only three non-feudal daughters. His share fell to his brother Alexander Wilhelm, who in turn was able to reunite all shares in the Fredenwalde manor, including all the Vorwerke (Willmine, Klein-Fredenwalde, Albertinenhof and Arnimswalde ) that had since been established .

Klein-Fredenwalde is mentioned for the first time in 1768; it could well have been founded a few years earlier. In 1775 Klein-Fredenwalde was referred to as Vorwerk with a granny or Büdner. It had a fireplace (house) and 13 residents. In 1782 Büdner houses were built in Klein-Fredenwalde. In 1790 it is characterized as a knight's farm with a manager or sub-tenant, a granny and two fireplaces. Bratring describes Klein-Fredenwalde in 1801 as a Vorwerk with nine graves in three fireplaces .

Alexander Wilhelm von Arnim was married to Albertine Luise Countess von Küssow, with whom he had the daughter Henriette Albertine Emilie, who married Carl Caspar von Langenn, and the son Wilhelm Georg, who was entitled to inheritance, who was married to Caroline Henriette von Ahlimb. In 1768, Alexander Wilhelm also built the Albertinenhof farm , which he named after his wife. Alexander Wilhelm was king. Prussian Lieutenant General and holder of the Order of the Red Eagle and the Order of Pour le Mérite ; he died on September 26, 1809 in Berlin.

His only son Wilhelm Georg von Arnim inherited the entire property: Groß Fredenwalde, Klein-Fredenwalde, Willmine, Albertinenhof and a share in Sperrenwalde. He was married to Caroline Henriette von Ahlimb. In 1840 there were four houses in the Klein-Fredenwalde manor.

Wilhelm Georg von Arnim had three non-feudal daughters from his marriage, so that the Fredenwalde feudal estate was divided again after his death in 1847. After a lengthy dispute over the estate, it finally fell in 1857

  • Groß Fredenwalde and Albertinenhof to Ludwig Bernhard von Arnim (1784–1855) from the Götschendorf house
  • Groß Sperrenwalde to the house of Milmersdorf and
  • Klein-Fredenwalde, Arnimswalde and Willmine to Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig von Arnim (1824–1866) from Götschendorf and Neu Storkow in Neumark.

Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig von Arnim was the son of the Royal Prussian captain and salt inspector Gustav Ernst von Arnim (1784–1851) and Sophie Elisabeth Friederike Emilie Bestehorn (1794–1872). Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig was married to Johanna Ottilie Strahl and moved with her to Willmine.

In 1860 there were four residential buildings and eight farm buildings in Klein-Fredenwalde. The estate had a total size of 822 acres, of which 13 acres were homesteads, 11 acres of garden land, 406 acres of arable land, 193 acres of meadow and 199 acres of forest. 450 sheep were kept on the estate.

Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig died of a heart condition in Willmine in 1866. Heir to the three estates was the only surviving son Ludwig Gustav Otto Gotthelf von Arnim (1860–1936)

In 1879 Klein-Fredenwalde had a size of 210.07 hectares, of which 164.52 hectares were arable, 43.78 hectares were meadows and 1.77 hectares were pasture. The property tax net income was set at 2405 marks. Groß Fredenwalde and Klein-Fredenwalde were administered by administrator Ludewig.

Ludwig Gustav Otto Gotthelf von Arnim was married to Helene Rosalie Concordia von Gehring, with whom they had two sons, Hans Ludwig Hermann Konstantin (1889–1971) later became consistorial president, the second son Joachim Wolfgang Gustav Horst (1892–1914) fell in with Normée France. Ludwig Gustav Otto Gotthelf von Arnim was district administrator of the Templin district from 1899 to 1920. He was also the governor of the Zehdenick monastery.

According to the Handbook of Real Estate in the German Empire of 1885, the Klein-Fredenwalde manor had a total area of 202 hectares, of which 150 hectares were arable land, 50 hectares were meadows and 2 hectares were meadows. The property tax net income was fixed at 2405 marks. The administrator was a chief inspector Dreger.

In contrast, the Handbook of Landing in the German Empire from 1896 now gives a total area of 212 hectares, of which 162 hectares are arable, 44 hectares of meadows, 3 hectares of forest and 13 hectares of wasteland. The property tax net income is now given as 2405 marks. The manager is now a H. Wolke in Arnimswalde.

In 1900 Ludwig Gustav Otto Gotthelf von Arnim sold the goods Willmine, Arnimswalde and Klein Fredenwalde to Hans Carl Georg Otto Heinrich Felix ( Hans ) von Arnim (1841–1914) on Neuensund and Mürow. Hans Carl Georg Otto Heinrich Felix von Arnim (1841–1914) was the son of Hans Carl Friedrich von Arnim (1789–1861) and Auguste Wilhelmine Sophie Marie von Heyden (1818–1899). He was married to Elisabeth Ida von Heyden-Linden. In 1906 he bought the Albertinenhof from Friedrich Wilhelm Georg Ferdinand von Arnim (1832–1876). In 1907 and 1914 the estate in Klein-Fredenwalde had a total area of 215 hectares, of which 162 hectares were arable, 44 hectares were meadows, 6 hectares were wooded and 13 hectares were unland . The manager was now Ernst Krach. On December 28, 1914, Hans Carl Georg Otto Heinrich Felix von Arnim died on his estate in Neuensund. Heir was his son Hans-Jochen August Albert Berthold Carl Helmuth Georg Friedrich Heinrich von Arnim (1884–1950).

Hans-Jochen von Arnim leased the three properties to Hans Gosch. In 1923 he sold Klein-Fredenwalde and Arnimswalde to Landbank AG Berlin. However, he kept the forest portion; This he united with the forest Arnimswalde. The part of Klein-Fredenwalde and Arnimswalde acquired by the Landbank was about 281 hectares. Around 17 new settlements were planned, nine of them farm positions in Klein-Fredenwalde and three worker positions.

After the Second World War, a Type I LPG was formed in 1959 with 8 members and 57 ha of agricultural land. In 1960 it was connected to the LPG type III in Groß Fredenwalde.

Communal history

In 1768, Groß Fredenwalde and thus also Klein-Fredenwalde belonged to the Uckermark district of the Mark Brandenburg . With the district reform of 1816/17, three new districts were formed from the Uckermark. Klein-Fredenwalde came to the Templin district of the Brandenburg province . With the district reform of 1952 in the former GDR , the Templin district was given a completely new shape and was assigned to the Neubrandenburg district . With the district reform of 1993 in the state of Brandenburg, the three districts of Angermünde , Prenzlau and Templin were combined to form the district of Uckermark.

Klein-Fredenwalde was initially pertinent to the manor Groß Fredenwalde. From 1860 to 1871 it formed its own Klein-Fredenwalde estate. In 1874 Klein-Fredenwalde belonged to the Willmine estate with Willmine and Arnimswalde. The manor district of Willmine was assigned to the district 5 Groß Fredenwalde of the district Templin in 1874. In 1928 the Willmine manor was merged with the rural community of Groß Fredenwalde. In 1931 and 1957 Klein-Fredenwalde was a residential area, in 1959 and 1971 it was part of Groß Fredenwalde. In 1992, Groß Fredenwalde formed the administrative community of Amt Gerswalde with 13 other municipalities . On December 31, 2001, Groß Fredenwalde was incorporated into Gerswalde. Today Groß Fredenwalde and Klein-Fredenwalde are parts of the municipality of Gerswalde.
