history

In 1320 the name Mildebraderstorp appears for the first time in a document. The name Milmersdorf slowly developed through Melmersdorp .

On May 1, 1849, the Milmersdorfer postal expedition and station were canceled due to the completion of the Chaussee from Templin to its confluence with Berlin-Prenzlauer-Chaussee. The tour of the Berlin-Prenzlauer Personenpost between Templin and Prenzlau has been moved to the new direct road.

Milmersdorf in the rural Uckermark region does not have a typical town center and no well-established village structures. In the 1960s, workers for a large concrete plant - in the Götschendorf district - were settled here (today Betonwerk Milmersdorf GmbH ). At that time, living space was created for employees in the form of so-called “ prefabricated buildings ”.

In 2007 the Russian Orthodox monastery Götschendorf was founded.

Administrative history Milmersdorf and its present parts of the municipality belonged to the Templin district in the Prussian province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Templin district in the GDR district of Neubrandenburg from 1952 . Since 1993 the places have been in the Brandenburg district of Uckermark.

The following were incorporated:

May 1, 1954: Petersdorf

October 1, 1961: Ahrensdorf , spun off to Templin on July 1, 1993

January 1, 1973: Götschendorf

December 31, 2001: Groß Kölpin
