NGC 4310 = NGC 4338 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is an estimated 41 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years in diameter. Together with 18 other galaxies, it forms the NGC 4274 group ( LGG 279 ).
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4283 , NGC 4286 , IC 3222 , IC 3247 .
The object was discovered on April 11, 1785 by John Herschel .
