NGC 4334 is a spiral radio galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Virgo at the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 187 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light-years across. Under catalog number VCC 638 , it is considered a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster .

The galaxies NGC 4353 , NGC 4365 , NGC 4366 , IC 3259 are in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered by John Herschel on April 24, 1830 .
