NGC 4326 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Virgo north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 315 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light-years across. The galaxy is listed under catalog number VVC 623 as part of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster, but it is too far away for that.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4333 , NGC 4339 , IC 782 , IC 3268 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 13, 1784 .
