NGC 4328 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 19 million light years from the Milky Way and about 5,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy is listed under catalog number VVC 634 as part of the Virgo galaxy cluster .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies Messier 100 , NGC 4312 , NGC 4323 , IC 783 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on March 21, 1784 .
