IC 3222 is a barred spiral galaxy with an active galactic nucleus from Hubble type SBc in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is estimated to be 875 million light years from the Milky Way and about 235,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4310 , NGC 4311 , IC 3237 , IC 3247 .

The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 23, 1903 .
