IC 3222 is a barred spiral galaxy with an active galactic nucleus from Hubble type SBc in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is estimated to be 875 million light years from the Milky Way and about 235,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4310 , NGC 4311 , IC 3237 , IC 3247 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 23, 1903 .
