NGC 4677 is a 12.9 likes bright lenticular galaxy of Hubble type SB0-a in the constellation Centaurus and about 131 million light years from Earth.
It was discovered on June 8, 1834 by John Herschel with an 18-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "eF, lE, vgbM".
