NGC 4669 is a 13.7 mag bright spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Great Bear in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 221 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy is considered a member of the NGC 4686 group ( LGG 300 ).
In the same area of ​​the sky are the galaxies NGC 4644 , NGC 4646 , NGC 4675 , NGC 4686 .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 14, 1789 .
