IC 829 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Raven south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 215 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 4756 and IC 3831 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Guillaume Bigourdan on May 13, 1888 .
