IC 829 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Raven south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 215 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 4756 and IC 3831 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered by Guillaume Bigourdan on May 13, 1888 .
