Sleeping lady
The Sleeping Lady is a special feature of the figural sculptures in Malta . She is understood as the mother goddess and also referred to as a fat lady . It was found together with the torso of an androgynous sculpture in the hypogeum of Hal Saflieni and is exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of Malta . The small alabaster sculpture is only 12.2 cm long. The figurine is also interpreted as a representation of the temple sleep .
