Slice the Cake is a multinational metal project founded in 2009 by musicians Jonas Johansson, Gareth Mason and Jack 'Magero ‛Richardson.

history

The music project Slice the Cake was launched in 2009 by singer Gareth Mason, guitarist / drummer Jonas Johansson and bassist Jack 'Magero' Richardson. The musicians are from the United Kingdom , Sweden and Australia .

During live performances, the musicians were supported by various session musicians. With Cleansed the first release in the form of an EP that was financed out of pocket appeared in of 2010. In March 2012, the debut album The Man with No Face was released , also self-recorded. It was signed by Myriad Records in the same year , and the second album Other Slices was released at the end of 2012 . After moving to Subliminal Groove Records in 2014, the third album Odyssey to the West was originally supposed to be released in the same year. However, this only appeared in 2016 after Jack Richardson left the project. Originally, the album should no longer be released by the project. Mason and Johansson released the previously unreleased version of the album, which led to internal tension between the musicians as they put the album on the market without consulting Jack Richardson. After the incident, the project was terminated.
