As Smart Shop stores are referred to the legal drugs (English smart drugs ) and intoxicating dietary supplements sell. These are substances that have not been included in the Narcotics Act by the legislature due to their low distribution or whose sale cannot be prohibited due to poorly formulated legal provisions. It is often the case that drugs sold in smart shops are subsequently included in the Narcotics Act when the spread of the drug has visibly increased.

Depending on the country and legal situation, this includes a. Guarana supplements , kratom ( Mitragyna speciosa ), psychoactive mushrooms (contain psilocybin ), Herba Ephedra (contains ephedrine ), various aphrodisiacs and stimulants (energizers). In addition, cacti containing mescaline , such as B. Peyote , as well as Herbal Ecstasy are part of the range of a smart shop.
