The Smashing Magazine is a magazine on the subject web design and web development , the 2006 by Sven Lennartz and Vitaly Friedman was founded. It is one of the more successful online media from Germany . The articles in Smashing Magazine appear in English only .

Smashing Magazine is published by Smashing Media AG . After publication in September 2006, the website was revised for the first time in September 2007, and the website was relaunched in early 2012. The last relaunch took place on November 21, 2017.

Smashing Magazine organizes the so-called Smashing Conferences several times a year , founded by Vitaly Friedman and Marc Thiele in 2012, with speakers and greats such as Dan Mall , Tim Kadlec , Lea Verou, Dan Rubin and Sara Soueidan . So far in Freiburg (2012 to 2020), Oxford (2014, 2015), New York City (2014 to 2020), Whistler (2014), Los Angeles (2015), San Francisco (from 2016) and Barcelona (2015).

Books

In addition to the online magazine, the editors have been publishing their own books since 2009.

Works

There are also more than 60 titles (January 2017) that were only published as e-books. Some books have been translated into Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Chinese.
