Soex India
SoeX India Pvt Ltd is an Indian tobacco manufacturer and a subsidiary of Sopariwala Exports , which manufactures some of its products based on sugar cane , including a tobacco substitute for water pipes . The tobacco-free substitute is sold under the label "SoeX". The normal tobacco is called Afzal . In addition to hookah tobacco, Soex produces, among other things, normal cigarettes, tobacco-free cigarettes (both in the form of so-called beedies ), snuff and snus .

The products are sold internationally. Although the company has been producing tobacco since 1972 and has been producing hookah tobacco since 2003, it has only been available in Germany on a limited basis since 2006. According to the Vice President of Soex India, Patil Narendra, Soex now supplies 75 percent of all countries in the world.
In Germany, tobacco substitutes are still subject to the Tobacco Act. So this too was not allowed to exceed a moisture content of 5% by May 2016. The nicotine-free water pipe tobacco substitute manufactured by Soex is sold in various flavors.
