Definitions of IEEE

The IEEE 1058 definition determines the format and content of a Software Project Management Plan (SPMP). The standard was replaced by IEEE 16326 in 2009. It serves as a document for the organization of a software project; it describes the formal and organizational processes that are necessary for software development in order to be able to meet product requirements.
