Soi cowboy
The Soi cowboy ( Soi in Thai means street ) is a small red light district of Bangkok and is located between the Soi 21 (Asoke) and the Soi 23 parallel to Thanon Sukhumvit (Sukhumvit) .
Soi Cowboy is about 200 meters long. Smaller and larger gogo bars are lined up along the street . Similar to Patpong , scantily clad gogo dancers dance on poles that are mounted on a raised stage.
The street was named after the former American aviator TG "Cowboy" Edwards, who opened the first go-go bar between 1973 and 1977.
