Through the establishment of a citizens 'energy cooperative (BeeG), 75 percent of the solar park goes into citizens ' hands through participation certificates, a quarter is held by the Euskirchen-based "F&S solar concept GmbH", which built the system.

history

The construction of the solar park at the Kaiserstuhlbahn was unanimously decided on July 24, 2012 by the local council and the local council.

In February 2013 the solar park officially went online. The installation of the grid transfer station and the commissioning of the inverters were completed in April 2013, the system was officially put into operation on May 2, 2013 by Vogtsburg's mayor Gabriel Schweizer. 227 km of cables were laid in the solar park and nine inverters and five transformer stations were installed. A wild animal corridor and fences with clearance from the ground, set up in coordination with the Freiburg Forest Research Institute, enable smaller animals to pass through the area unhindered.
