Soledad Cabezón Ruiz (born September 1, 1973 in Albaida del Aljarafe ) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Socialista Obrero Español and a doctor .
Life
Cabezón Ruiz studied medicine. For many years she worked as a cardiologist at the Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío in Seville . From 2003 to 2011 she was mayor of Albaida del Aljarafe. From 2008 to 2012 she was a member of the Congreso de los Diputados . She has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014 . There she is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and the Committee on Petitions as well as the delegation in the EU-Chile Joint Parliamentary Committee. Cabezón Ruiz is married and has two children.
