Son Cladera is a district of the Levante district of Palma and is bordered by the districts of Son Oliva, Son Rullán, Virgen de Lluc, El Vivero, es Rafal Vell, Son Fortesa and the municipality of Marratxí.
Its name comes from the old homestead on which the district is located today.
The Son Cladera district was built between 1964 and 1966 as a suburb of Palma. There were already a few houses (Can Roses) on the site. The development of the quarter consists of large blocks of orthogonal shape, which are evenly distributed at regular intervals. In the absence of commercial operations, a sleeping area developed here between the MA-13 motorway to Inka and the Son Cladera-es Vivero train station.
Son Cladera is served by the EMT bus line 10 and the SFM line M2 with public transport .
