Special badge of the head of the Hungarian aviation authority

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The special badge of the head of the Hungarian aviation sector was an award for the activities of the air force of the Kingdom of Hungary , newly founded in 1938, under the imperial administrator and head of state Miklós Horthy . However, this job badge was introduced in 1931 and was then worn until 1937.

Appearance and wearing style

The special badge is similar in appearance and texture to the Hungarian pilot's badge , with the difference that the gold-embroidered St. Stephen's crown and parts of the eagle, which is also embroidered in gold, are surrounded by a laurel wreath with a diameter of 30 mm , which has a stylized bow at its lower end. The resemblance to the pilot's badge is remarkable, although the head of the Hungarian aviation industry was usually not a pilot or pilot. The special badge was worn on the right breast pocket.
