Sone no Yoshitada
Sone no Yoshitada ( Japanese 曾 禰 好 忠 ; * around 920 ; † after 1000 ) was a Japanese waka poet.
Almost nothing is known about the living conditions of Sone no Yoshitada, except that he was the provincial secretary of Tango , which is why he was also known as Sotango ( 曾 丹 後 ) or Sotan for short ( 曾 丹 ). His simple style of language contrasted with the poetry trained at Tsurayuki of his time. In total, more than 360 tanka have come down to us. He is one of the thirty-six immortals of medieval poetry ( Chūko Sanjūrokkasen ).
