Sonja Mewald

Sonja Mewald (born May 1, 1945 in Magdeburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1998 to 2002 she was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Education and life

Sonja Mewald graduated from high school in 1963 and became a skilled hairdresser in Magdeburg in 1965. From 1965 to 1968 she worked as a salaried hairdresser. In 1971 she graduated from the medical college in Halle as a "state-recognized medical beautician" and worked from 1971 as a medical beautician and from 1975 as a senior medical beautician. After training, she became self-employed in 1983.

Sonja Mewald is Protestant, married and has three children.

politics

Sonja Mewald was a member of the Staßfurt district council until 1990. In 1997 she became a member of the CDU. She was a board member of the Economic Council of the CDU Saxony-Anhalt. In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 1998, she was elected to the state parliament via the state list. In parliament she was a member of the Study Commission "Sustainable Saxony-Anhalt".
