Sons of Otis is a stoner-doom band from Toronto , Canada which was founded in 1992 by Ken Baluke .

history

Influenced by the underground music of the time ( Melvins , Fudge Tunnel , Shallow North Dakota ), the band released their first album Paid to Suffer in 1994. The following albums are increasingly characterized by psychedelic sounds, leading to immediate associations with the stoner Rock and doom scene.

11 drummers have already played at Sons of Otis and in the studio as well as at live concerts; alternatively, drum machines were also used. All albums released by the band up to 2007 were released on labels that no longer exist today.

The album Exiled was released in February 2009 via Small Stone Records , as was Seismic , released in August 2012 .
