Small Stone Records is an American label that sells records in the music genres stoner rock , stoner doom , indie , blues rock and psychedelic rock .
history
Small Stone Records was founded by Scott Hamilton in Detroit , Michigan in 1995 to release his own recordings and recordings made by friends. With this in mind, Hamilton borrowed $ 5,000 from his father, founded the label, and named it after a vintage guitar effect known in the early 1970s. The first release by Small Stone Records in the same year included a single by the music group 36D and a compilation entitled Detroit Rust City, which also featured Kid Rock with Westside, which later became famous in the scene .
