The Cape d'Ursel ( French Cap d'Ursel , English D'Ursel Point ) is a cape on the southeast coast of the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the southern limit of the entrance to Buls Bay .
It was discovered during the Belgica expedition (1897–1899) led by the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery , who named it after Hippolyte d'Ursel (1850–1937), president of the Société Royale Belge de Géographie and supporter of the research trip .
