Sophie Dudemaine (born October 5, 1965 ) is a French baking and cookbook author.

In her books, Dudemaine tries to reduce recipes to the essentials ("simplifier") without foregoing sophistication, in order to make them accessible to beginners. She is particularly known for her "cakes", which are simple sponge cakes that are baked in a loaf pan. What is unusual about it is the mostly salty preparation with cheese, meat, fish and vegetables, which are added to the dough depending on the season.

Dudemaine learned a. a. with the chefs Jean-Pierre Vigatto , Henry Faugeron and André Daguin . In 2000 she published her first work Les cakes des Sophie , of which over 1.5 million copies were sold in France. The book has been translated into several languages. In total, Dudemaine has published over 15 book titles, four (as of 03/08) of which have been translated into German. In her cookbook La cuisine de Ducasse par Sophie , she simplified recipes by the master chef Alain Ducasse .

Dudemaine is the presenter of the weekly cooking program "Les Tables de Sophie" on the French channel Cuisine.tv.
