Sophie Guillemin (born December 1, 1977 in Paris , France ) is a French actress .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1996, Sophie Guillemin worked in several odd jobs, including at Disneyland Paris . While working as a waitress, she was discovered by the French filmmaker Cédric Kahn for his love drama Meine Heldin . She embodied the character Cécilia at the side of Charles Berling and Arielle Dombasle in the 1998 film. For this she was at the presentation of the French film award César in 1999 as Best Young Actress nomination. Another nomination in the same category followed at César 2001 for her portrayal in Harry means well with you .

Guillemin has one daughter. She converted to Islam in 1999 and has since refused to film nude scenes. At times she wore a headscarf, which triggered violent reactions both in her environment and in the film industry.
