The Sophien- und Hufeland-Klinikum Weimar is an acute hospital based in the cultural city of Weimar and an academic teaching hospital of the University of Jena with regional intermediary care.

history

The Sophien- und Hufeland-Klinikum Weimar was established in 1998 from the merger of the diaconal "Stiftung Sophienhaus Weimar" and the municipal "Hufeland-Kliniken Weimar GmbH". In 2004 the Arnstadt Marienstift took over the shares held by the municipal Hufeland -trägergesellschaft Weimar GmbH.
