Soreng

Soreng ( Nepali सोरेङ) is a village in the West Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim with 3818 inhabitants (2011). By road, Soreng is about 45 km from Darjeeling and 102 km from Gangtok , the capital of Sikkim.

Soreng is a destination for nature tourism , starting point for visits to the Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and for glacier tours.
