description
The Sorn Old Bridge dates from the early 18th century. It is a narrow stone arch bridge that crosses the River Ayr at the west end of Sorn with two arches. The masonry is made of quarry stone. The segment arcs describe almost a complete semicircle. Icebreakers with a triangular floor plan emerge from the central pillar . The transferred single-lane road no longer has any traffic significance.
