South African Challenge

The South African Challenge was a men's squash tournament in South Africa that was held from 1999 to 2002. The first three events took place in Johannesburg , the event in 2002 in Pretoria .

At 8,000 US dollars, the tournament initially belonged to the Super Satellite category , and in the following year it was upgraded to the 2½ Star category at 25,000 US dollars . In 2001 it was a Category 5 Star with $ 50,000 and in 2002 a Category 4 Star with $ 40,000 in prize money. All events were won by different players, with Rodney Durbach succeeding in reaching the final three times.
