The Conway Hall Ethical Society , until 1992 the South Place Ethical Society , is the oldest surviving free-thinker organization in the world and the only remaining Ethical Society in the United Kingdom . Today she advocates secular humanism .

history

The history of the South Place Ethical Society dates back to 1793. Initially influenced by religion, the society under Moncure Conway turned away from Unitarianism. Under Stanton Coit , the name was changed from South Place Religious Society to South Place Ethical Society. Today it belongs to the International Humanist and Ethical Union .

Sunday assemblies

Since the beginning of 2013, Sunday Assemblies have been held at Conway Hall on the first and third Sunday of each month and have been attended by hundreds of visitors from the start.
