The Civil Code of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic (lit. Lietuvos Tarybų Socialistinės Respublikos civilinis kodeksas , LTSR CK ) was a comprehensive Soviet-Lithuanian private law codification and the main legal source of Soviet-Lithuanian civil law. The law was passed by the Supreme Soviet of Soviet Lithuania on July 7, 1964 and entered into force on January 1, 1965 . The civil code consisted of an ideologized preamble with numerous communist slogans and 610 articles, 8 chapters and 50 sub-chapters. The successor to the Civil Code was the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania of 2000.
