Social pedagogical assistance
Socio-educational assistant or Sozialpädagogischer Assistant (SPA), also known as nanny or child care, is a professional training in Germany. SPA differ from the job description of social assistance .
The two or three year training is regulated individually by the federal states.

- Formation and change of interpersonal relationships
- Group processes (knowledge and control)
- Use of media for educational purposes
Practical exercises and extracurricular internships complement the theoretical part of the training.
entry requirements
As a rule, the successful completion of the secondary school leaving certificate is required. In some federal states, knowledge of housekeeping or social care is also required.
Additional requirements can be
- medically attested health suitability
- criminal record certificate
- First aid course
- Instruction according to §§ 42/43 of the Infection Protection Act
