The Spielvereinigung 1910 Durlach Aue eV ( SpVgg Durlach-Aue for short ) is a sports club from the Karlsruhe district of Durlach with around 1450 members. The best known is the soccer department, as well as the tennis, gymnastics and fitness studio departments. The club celebrated its greatest sporting success in 1947 with promotion to the Landesliga Nordbaden , which was then the second highest division.

History and successes

On April 18, 1910, a football department was established in the Durlach 1878 gymnastics club (today Durlach 1846 eV). This is considered to be the founding date of SpVgg Durlach-Aue. At the beginning of the 1920s there was tension in Germany between gymnasts and footballers, as well as other modern sports, which resulted in the clean divorce . In Durlach, on February 23, 1923, the football department of the Durlach gymnastics club merged with the football department of the Durlach-Aue gymnastics association founded in 1912 to form SpVgg Durlach-Aue. The Turnerbund Aue was created in 1902 as a spin-off from the Aue gymnastics club in 1895 (today Aue 1895 eV). The official founding of the SpVgg Durlach-Aue association took place on July 18, 1925. In 1933, the club took part in the Wuerttemberg-Baden Football Cup, which it lost to FV Zuffenhausen . The SpVgg Durlach-Aue and their predecessors played in the Central Baden game classes in the first half of the 20th century. At times they were found in the highest league in Mittelbaden, which at that time was one of many seasons in the 2nd division.

From 1945 the SpVgg Durlach-Aue belonged to the district league Karlsruhe. As their master, she rose at the end of the 1946/47 season in the Landesliga Nordbaden . The Landesliga Nordbaden was then the highest amateur league and was the second highest division below the Oberliga Süd at the time. From the regional league, the game association rose directly from the group south after only one season. After that they were mostly found in the 2. Amateur League Middle Baden or its successor in the Landesliga Mittelbaden. Sometimes she also played in one of the game classes of the Karlsruhe district.

In the 2007/08 season, the SpVgg Durlach-Aue was champion of the Landesliga Mittelbaden and was promoted to the Baden Association for the first time . After the first season, Durlach-Aue was relegated in 13th place. In the end you should have mourned the points that you lost through the use of A-Juniors without the right to play. There was still hope of keeping the class via relegation. But in the first round, like in 2007, they were eliminated. In the Landesliga Mittelbaden, 7th place in the season follows 13th place in the 2010/11 season and thus relegation to the Karlsruhe district league. Thanks to first places in the Kreisliga Karlsruhe 2011/12 and in the Landesliga Mittelbaden 2013/14, the club has been back in the Baden Association League since 2014.
