Spark New Zealand is New Zealand 's largest telecommunications company and was renamed Telecom Corporation of New Zealand Limited on August 7, 2014. The company is based in Auckland .

The company states that the term “ Spark ” is a word that embodies life, potential, energy and creativity and that with “ Spark New Zealand ” the company wants to unleash the potential of all New Zealanders.

The company was realigned in terms of business in 2014 and was divided into the following business areas:

  • Spark New Zealand - under this name all other business areas are combined.
  • Spark Foundation - is a company's charitable foundation. From July 2014 to July 2015, the company donated NZ $ 19 million to charity.
  • Spark Home, Mobile and Business - is the classic business area for landline connections and mobile networks, which is divided into private customer business and corporate business.
  • Spark Digital - is responsible for the expansion of the digital network in New Zealand and offers business solutions for companies.
  • Spark Ventures - is responsible for developing new business areas.
  • TNZI - is based in Wellington and provides global solutions for digital voice communication.
