List of savings banks in Austria

The Sparkasse Langenlois is a Lower Austrian banking company based in Langenlois and part of the savings bank group in Austria . It was created in 1871 as a club savings bank. The Sparkasse is a member of the cooperation and liability association of the Austrian savings banks and the Austrian savings bank association .

Founding history

The savings and advance payment association for Langenlois and the surrounding area, founded in 1868, was able to satisfy the savings and credit needs of the local population for the time being, but its financial framework was too small in the long run. Therefore, after only two years, the decision was made to create the conditions for founding a savings bank. A founding consortium, consisting of Messrs. Ludwig Weinmann, Anton Salzer, Georg Dum and Josef Ziwutschka, carried out the necessary preparatory work and, after a few months, presented the statutes for an association savings bank. The statutes provided for an association to which 80 members should belong, who had to set up the necessary reserve fund with the payment of 50 guilders each. On the basis of a request, the Sparkasse was granted the right to use the Langenlois coat of arms in its seal. At the meeting of the Proponents Committee at the end of November 1870, the statutes and the rules of procedure were adopted. The advance club was seen as a co-founder. These statutes and rules of procedure were approved by the authority in mid-June. On October 1, 1871, the Sparkasse Langenlois opened its counters.

Offices

In 1953 a branch was opened in Hadersdorf am Kamp , 1978 in Etsdorf am Kamp and in 1982 a city branch of Langenlois in the Haindorf district.
