The Sparkasse Pottenstein N.Ö. is a Lower Austrian banking company based in Pottenstein . It was founded in 1873 as an association savings bank. The savings bank is a member of the cooperation and liability association of the Austrian savings banks and the Austrian savings banks association .
history
On May 19, 1873, the establishment of the Sparkassenverein Pottenstein was initiated, on June 1, 1874 business activities began. After the founding fund had been repaid, the bank set up its first foundation in 1881 to provide for the poor in the locality. In 1896 the Sparkasse moved into the former Pottenstein school building next to the rectory. Day traffic was introduced in 1926.
In 1942, the Berndorf branch was opened as the first branch. The second branch was opened in Hirtenberg in 1960. The main institute moved to a new building at Hauptplatz 5 in 1968.
In 1991 the main facility in Pottenstein was expanded and completely renovated, and the deposit level exceeded the 1 billion Schilling mark for the first time . The institute now manages deposits totaling around € 151 million (2009) and the loan status ( credits and loans ) is approx. € 148 million (2009). In 2000 the main establishment was redesigned, the customer rooms in the Berndorf office were expanded and the residential building center opened in Alexanderstraße in Berndorf. In 2009, the exterior view was adapted to the corporate design of the Sparkasse Group. In 2011–2013, the offices and counter areas were modernized and expanded in all branches. In 2013 the Sparkasse Pottenstein N.Ö. their 140th anniversary.
