The Sparkasse Zürcher Oberland , based in Wetzikon, was a Swiss regional bank anchored in the Zurich Oberland .
It emerged in 1993 from the merger of the two district savings banks in Hinwil and Pfäffikon, founded in 1828 and 1833, and was organized in the form of a cooperative . The bank had 11 branches in the Zurich Oberland. Her area of activity has traditionally been in retail banking , mortgage lending , private banking and banking with small and medium-sized companies .
The Sparkasse Zürcher Oberland was affiliated to the RBA Holding as an independent regional bank . Within the RBA group it belonged to the sub-grouping of Clientis banks .
In April 2009 the Sparkasse Zürcher Oberland merged with the Sparkasse Küsnacht to form Clientis Zürcher Regionalbank . In its last financial year as an independent bank, Sparkasse Zürcher Oberland employed 132 people and at the end of 2008 had total assets of 2.128 billion Swiss francs.
