Division association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Legal entities are referred to as divisional associations that have a superordinate umbrella association for specific branches that bundles their interests . In contrast to a sub-association, they are legally and economically self-sufficient .

Divisional associations concentrate on their actual association purpose, while the umbrella organization takes care of political issues and provides advice to the divisional associations. Members of the branch association are automatically members of the umbrella association, which mostly uses bundled financial support and allocates it to the member associations.

An example of this is a German Fisheries Association , which bundles five branch associations.
