Speedy ; actually Juan Antonio Órtiz García (born September 10, 1979 in Puerto Rico ) is a reggaeton singer.

Life

In 1998 Speedy released his first album in Puerto Rico. His album Nueva Generación was released worldwide by Universal .

His single Sientelo , in which Lumidee participated, was one of the songs that made the reggaeton genre popular in Germany in 2005, alongside Daddy Yankee's song Gasolina . Sientelo is based on the song Sandunguero by DJ Blass from 2001 and has been a great chart success with top 10 placements in Switzerland, Belgium etc. and also in Germany with 13th place.

He also worked with artists such as Plan B , Daddy Yankee, and Lito & Polaco. Speedy released his first mixtape Mazacote in 2008 : The Mixtape Gold Edition Vol.1 on the label Yoko-Joe Records .
