Spectral filter
Spectral filters are optical filters that mask or let through a part of the light spectrum . In the area of visible light, especially photography , such filters are called color filters . A distinction is made between two functional principles, the interference filter (e.g. monochromators , dielectric mirrors ) and the absorption filter .
