The Spelarföreningen Fotboll i Sverige (often abbreviated to SFS ) is a Swedish sports union . She represents soccer players from Sweden.

background

The interest organization was founded in 1975. Initially active on a voluntary basis for the interests of Swedish football players, the association now employs full-time employees, particularly due to support payments from FIFPro and Svenska Fotbollförbundet . The main areas of responsibility are classic employee representation issues, in particular the organization supports legal and labor law issues, helps with career planning as well as insurance or training issues.

The SFS currently represents around 600 members who are primarily recruited from the Allsvenskan , Superettan and Damallsvenskan , but membership is in principle open to all around 250,000 registered football players in Sweden. The society is a member of the FIFPro and is in close contact with other player organizations in the Northern European countries. She is involved in cross-border projects against racism, for example, but also with participation in the FIFPro Tournament .
